FALL PROGRAMS:

 

DIGS/PURSUIT has many different programs for the levels of play. Please carefully read the explanations below to help assist you with your decisions.

Position Training/General Skills Classes
Clinics and lessons are general classes that typically focus on skill development (fundamentals of passing, serving, hitting etc). There are no games or travel involved.
These classes are appropriate for all levels. They are open to everyone (Co-Ed). These classes are great for skill and technique development.
Season: Year-Round
Commitment: 1-4 Classes
Travel Games/Tournaments: NO
Tryouts: NO
Program Names: Grass, Position Training,  General Skill Classes
Ages: 5-18

Preseason Team:
This is a girls' team program. They practice together 6x/month and compete in beginner/intermediate level tournaments. Pursuit believes the best way to learn is by playing volleyball in a team setting. Preseason teaches all of the girls the techniques, team offense/defense and all the positions of volleyball.
Season: July-Nov 2
Commitment: 2-4 Months
Games/Tournaments: YES (San Diego or Inland Empire)
Tryouts: NO 
Ages: 8-15

PURSUIT CLUB TEAMS
Club season has tryouts in October and practices begin in November or (January for some groups). There are beginner-advanced level teams who compete in club. Practices schedules depend on the level you make. A beginner/intermediate level practices 4-6x/month and advanced levels practice 8-12x/month. Tournaments are typically in Orange County, San Diego, or the Inland Empire. There are tryouts to determine team placement and typically everyone does make a team. Teams are selected by Age/Skill.
Season: November-June 
Commitment: 5-7 months
Games/Tournaments: YES
Tryouts: YES
Ages: 8-18, Girls'

Private Lessons
Available: Mondays/Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays

Pursuit Club Sign-Ups/Tryouts

Dates are TBA, they will be held during the first two weeks of October.

Clinics & Camps

Camps are typically held during the summer, where DIGS brings in collegiate coaches to work on specific skills and training for participants. Clinics are held throughout the year usually on a monthly basis. Clinics are held throughout the year and focus on individual fundamentals and team offense and defense.

PURSUIT Travel Teams

Tryouts are held October and November for boys and girls in grades 4-12. The season goes from December to June. Most tournaments are in Moreno Valley, Anaheim, and San Diego. An end of the season  tournament is held in Phoenix, Florida or Anaheim. Travel team costs for girls are approximately $1200-$1600 plus the cost of the end of season tournament. Practice Teams

Practice teams run from January-June. Practice teams are for participants who are unable to commit to the full travel team schedule or are interested in just practicing skills without competing. A few optional tournaments are held throughout the season.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are for participants who want individual attention to enchance their skills. They work one-on-one with a coach. Lessons typically last 30-50 minutes.

Beach

Beach Volleyball consists of clinics and tournaments. Tournaments are usually 2 on 2 and in the LA/Orange County area for ages 10-18. Clinics are held in Loma Linda, Redlands, Riverside and Yucaipa and are open to all age groups. Beach programs are held year-round. Teams can form any time
